  • Translate Edius into Dutch

    Hello

Can someone tell me more or assist me in how I can translate Edius into Dutch?

By default, Edius is English, but the
C:\Program Files\Grass Valley\EDIUS9\Localize folder also contains Chinese, German, French, Spanish, and Italian language files.
Here are DLL files, which are encrypted. And cannot be modified without tools or something similar.
Of course I will update the Dutch translation again in case of a new update, but first step 1 (translation of the base into Dutch).
Does anyone know how I can do this?

    Many thanks in advance!

    Regards

    Martien

I don't think it would made it easier to work with Edius in Nederlands, because there are so many specific words they are so hard to translate in Dutch ,You would loose the meaning of them.
And second, how many people would be able to help You in Dutch ?
Een Nederlander en een Belg hebben toch geen problemen met een andere taal !!

Uit mijn hoofd: tot Edius 4 was deze in het Nederlands, destijds vertaald door 1 van onze zakelijke ICT leveranciers. Er zijn specifieke Engelse woorden die lastig te vertalen zijn, maar ze zijn zeker te vertalen. Waarom wel Frans, Italiaans, Chinees en Duits? Why not into Dutch? Ik heb ook liever de Nederlandse versie van Adobe dan de Engelse....

I can translate a few words in Dutch and Steve can also help out a bit in his free time :)

But seriously, if you want to use technical software it's better to use it in English to avoid mistakes.

I am also a native Dutch but every piece of software I use is in English, forced myself to use it that way a long time ago and wouldn't like it any other way...

Help on this forum is in English and any tutorial video you can find is in English, don't resist, join the force :)

Ik geloof that er in België, een vertaling bestaat. "Walter Meys" heeft de distributië van Edius in België en geeft lessen : https://breedbeeld.org/diensten/matc...rs/meys-walter.

Hooping he is still in action.

Op dit moment is er geen officiële ondersteuning voor een Nederlandse GUI

Is het mogelijk dat de Nederlandse GUI weer kan terugkomen zoals deze er wel was in eerste versies van Edius? Niet iedereen spreekt 3 talen. Waarom Windows, Photoshop en Office wel Nederlands en Edius niet? Is voor mij en velen echt een pre.

Is it possible that the Dutch language come back as the case in the first versions of Edius? Not everyone speaks 3 languages. Why Windows, Photoshop and Office are Dutch and Edius is not? Is a plus for me and many.

That being a fact for many of us, i notice also that many (most) computer users i know have windows and other software mostly installed with local Dutch GUI...
There are also many software only available in English GUI so it becomes pretty messy, pretty fast, at least to me :)
