  • Edius disc burner reports offline clip that isn't

I think it happened after a crash, but when I go to burn disc, a menu comes up saying there is a clip with no properties, even though the file is there and plays in the timeline just fine.

So, if I use the restore offline clip dialog box that comes up, I point it to the file (where it's been all along), but the restore is grayed out.

The clip seems to be in some limbo state.
    Anyone know what's going on?
    Thanks

I guess I would re-import the clip to the EDIUS project and bin.

      This was a music file.
I deleted all music files from bin & timeline.
The "unlinked" icon was still at bottom of status bar, and opening the restore page would not let me re-link to the file that it says is lost.

I brought the files back in, and put them back in timeline, and it all works fine, ad DVD burns fine, but it keeps telling me there's a broken link to a file that isn't anywhere in the project.

      Thanks

Did you try unchecking the match file exactly box?

Thanks, yes, I did try that. No matter what setting I try, the "open" button (to re-link the clip) is grayed out even though it's the same file in the same place.

I've deleted the file from Bin and TL, it's nowhere in the project, and it still tells me it's a broken link.

sometimes when editing, you get a rogue one frame file somewhere at the end of the timeline, check carefully, start by setting timeline scale to 1 frame and press end key to see what is the last thing on that timeline
