when the PC couldn't keep up, were you capturing and converting to HQ simultaneously, or just capturing the .m2t file?

I've got the HV20 and love it. I'm using Edius 3.31 with a Pentium 4 3.2GHz and 1Gig RAM and found the PC couldn't keep up with the camera when I captured. The bits I did capture edited and exported beautifully. When I put the camera onto my wifes core 2 duo laptop it captured perfectly so obviously I need a bit more juice in my PC. Great camera though yuo'll love it.

    Yeah, 3.61 supports Canon's 1440x1080/24F format.

    Thanks.

I'm in New York. Does 3.61 also support 1080/60i and 1080/24, which are playback resolutions for the US version of the HV20?

I am planning to get the above hi-def camcorder. Does anyone know if I will be able to import and edit the HDV video using Edius pro 3.61?

    Thanks.
