Can I open a project saved in 9.40 if I rollback my system to the 9.31 version?

Latest crash today, before it crashed it started showing clip files in bins as icons, before that started it had been stable. About ready to give up on 9.40 and try something else.

yes it works fine to roll back and it only takes 1min

      1. uninstall EDIUS (don't deactivate)
      2. uninstall Mync (don't deactivate)
      3. empty appdata/local/Temp folder
      4. install 9.30 or 9.31 (9.30 is needed if you want to capture via Matrox hardware)
      5. done (no reboot needed)

Thanks for the info. May wait to get a new video card and see if it fixes the problem.

After updating my video card to an Nvidia 1060 and also connecting the Intel 630 card to a monitor along with upping my virtual mem at Anton's suggestion all of my timeline sluggishnes, crashes and glitches disappeared.

Thanks for various suggestions and tweaks on the forum!
