Not supposed to and not stable but in a short answer yes. Neo works better.
When I go out, I wear my EDIUS T-Shirt.

What you mean in short answer? You have tried but it wasn't stable or ? I have only heard about Neo, but where can I find it? Do you have some download link or so?

So it means that EDIUS may work with Vista, but may be it isn't officially supported. I have read some threads that say Edius is working in VISTA but some features are not supported. Many people suggested the usage of Edius Neo, but... I personally do not like it because it is some kind of LITE version and many things I am used to aren't there.

Please know that it is not officially supported. We are working on it at this time but we are not supporting it yet. :)

There a no hardware drivers for vista. Using EDIUS in ohci mode works.

                  What this means exactly?

What features are lost when Edius is used on Vista x64 with Canopus board without driver?

This means that you can't use any canopus hardware board under Vista as there are no vista drivers.

OHCI does not need Visa drivers from canopus as the Os loads its own that's why it works.

One question how would you use the board without a driver??

For me, EDIUS Neo crashes after I pick a standard 4:3 template and create the project folder. Crashes everytime even if I run as admin.

Patience is key...GV software is not as big as lets say Adobe, so I am sure the next revision will be fully compatible with Vista.

I use EDIUS standalone on my HP laptop...works fine, but haven't done any hard core projects on it.

I installed Edius on may Vista 64-bit operating system on my mac pro 8 core and it is actually running ok. The thing I like is I have all 5GB of ram in Vista.
Title Motion Pro doesn't work, although the demo version, 4.2, works fine as a standalone.

Edius Pro 4.54 in Vista Ultimate 64 bit

                              Hi Guys,
Just thought I would let you know about Vista 64bit and Edius Pro 4.54, I was on the design team for Vista and had worked for Microsoft for 15yrs, In short Edius does run fine, I have been using it for a while now with out any problems, I did add the main program file (exe) to DEP in vista just to be sure, but have also run it with out doing this, Also Procoder 3 runs fine in Vista 64bit, never had it crash or freeze up on me. DEP is located in the following place in case people need it, it is used in short to let 64bit vista know that the programs in it are 32bit, Right click Computer, select properties, Advanced system settings, Advanced, then Data Execution Prevention. I hope this helps.
