Edius 9.40 crash

Had my first system crash with Edius 9.40 today. I'm using a very low end setup with one 512G SSD Samsung class 40 for the system drive about 80% free and one 7200rpm video drive about 75% free, Nvidia Quadro P1000 with 4gig video card..

Would it be better to keep project files on the system drive or on the video drive in this setup. I only do standard 59.64 P files for the most part. I have virtually no control of network or security systems because of the network I'm on. Also wonder if it would be better to disconnect from the web when using Edius in this low end setup.

Since he is in NTSC land, I think that should have been 59.94p (60p in consumer camera speak). 59.94p does not exist as an SD camera standard to my knowledge.

...better to ask if they HD or UHD/4K.

Multiple Crashes 9.40

I'm having major problems with Edius 9.40. Can someone tell me the location of the System report that Edius creates? Generated but I can't find it.

When you click Create a System Report, a Save As Box appears and you can direct where you want the report to go. Mine is generally saved in the Documents folder.

Thanks, I found it. What's the best way to make use of the report. I've made a couple of changes to the performance settings in Windows since the crash. I'll see if the crashes continue Wednesday. The last crash happened when I started a print to file. That's never happened in 10-plus years of Edius for me.

Also, just odd, my Bin windows is no longer available as a tab, only as a separate Window- any thoughts on how to reset this? I was changing the layout and it just dropped out of the tab as a separate window.

You can post it here and we can take a look at it. Keep it in case you ever talk to support. Are you editing over a network?

I'm on a network but I'm not editing Edius on a net.

After the cashes before leaving I switched a Windows 10 performance pref from programs to background services and I'll see if that makes a difference- I know that's how I had it back in Win 7 tweak days. Briefly tested before I left, seemed a little more snappy-- but the crashes are happening about 20-30 minutes into a session as the interface becomes a bit sticky and slower to respond.

I'll attach the System Report on Wednesday USA time.

Edius Pro 9.4 and Windows 10 Pro on a Dell mini-workstation 3630 Desktop.

can you make sure fast startup is disabled, it is automatically enabled with every feature update

make sure power option is set to maximum performance

make sure Windows update sharing is disabled, otherwise your PC will constantly upload in the background to other Win10 users who don't have the latest updates (Ultimate Windows tweaker 4 can be used to disable it and many other spying items in the privacy section)

Helaaas, I must confirm that I have also regular crashes of Edius 9.4 when editing...
and the record of the Edius report is very loooooong.

My project contains more then 1.700 files with a total length of 1h20' for the version long divided in 8 sequences... and another set of 8 sequences for a short version : 45 minutes.

I am now editing the english version : setting the voice in parallell with the french and replacing titles with QT.

I am doing that with 9.40 to benefit of the fine quality of MP4 as recommended by Anton.

But Edius crashes regularly even when exporting
