  • Export with exact same quality and size?

I have a poor quality video of a college awards ceremony that was downloaded from Facebook Live. The sound was missing and I was able to sync a copy of the soundtrack from the theater PA system in Edius for an advisor at the college.

The original downloaded file was 95 minutes long, 536mb, saved as MP4, 640x360, 30fps, and the data rate shows 13507kbps.

When I pick export settings, I either get a huge file (8gb!) or a file with jaggies that is worse than the original.

How can I export to get the same quality as my original file, nothing worse, and roughly the same size? It will probably be going back on Facebook for viewing.

    Thanks!

you would change your project setting to 640x360 30fps and then export to HQX

then use handbrake to convert to mp4 at 640x360 and same frame rate and set bitrate to 2000

because size is only 640x360, you can use an even lower bitrate of say 1200 for video and 256 for audio

make sure you inspect the source file for exact frame rate, if it is 29.97p make sure you also make project setting 29.97p

and in handbrake, choose same as source for frame rate
