No, that doesn't work. Takes a little longer after clicking on the file, but it still crashes Edius.

I finally caved, & re-installed Windows. Just in the process of installing everything now.
Thank you very much for all the time you have put into this. I really appreciate it!!

it is sometimes beneficial to do a clean installation of everything, I hope it will all work now

Same thing for me with mp4 and mov it crash...

Hi all,
I'm hoping someone can help me out. I am using Edius 8.53 & until the other night it was very stable. Since then, i am having consistent crashes when trying to edit. It seems like it is only when i try to play particular clips. Seems like 4k .mov from a GH4 & .mp4 from a Canon XA 20 won't play. As soon as you try to, the program simply quits.
I checked to make sure Edius was up to date & it is.
I then updated Windows & that didn't fix anything.
I re-installed Edius, & that too hasn't changed anything.
Tried loading some other projects, & they too won't load, Edius simply crashes as soon as the program loads.
Any help would be very much appreciated.
