    Yet another update :)

    It could be the Kispersky Anti Virus. Kispersky installed he is getting File Write Error
    Kispersky uninstalled no error message.

    Still testing.

      It was Kaspersky that was giving all the bother.
      Uninstalled it and downloaded the trial version of Nod32 and no error messages now.

        ahhhh, the old anti virus software on an edit PC

        even in Win7, the built in windows defender causes havoc, so I disable right away after fresh install
