How do you overlay light leaks in edius?

Hey guys I have edius 8 pro and have managed to get some good light leaks but not sure how to use them?
do I just put them in an upper video on the timeline and then make semi transparent?

The quickest way is to place the Light Leak on the track above the area and then go to Effect>Keyers>Blend>Screen.

I think you will find blend to be the most accommodating followed by Addition.



You can play with the other options to get an effect that you are after.
