Dissolve Between 3dPiP Clip and Vid Clip

Can anyone tell me how to dissolve between a clip with a 3D Picture and Picture effect and video clip? When I try, edius likes to merge the two together and place the 3D PiP effect on the video I want to dissolve to. The result is there is a dissolve, but now the video is rotating or whatever the effect is in 3D picture in picture. Thanks in advance.

You have to do an A/B style edit.

You can then use
The mixer to fade or the opacity control in the 3d pip it self.

If you do it on the same track EDIUS applies it to both clips as you have discovered.

You can create a fade within the 3d pip file to fade out. This will create a dissolve to the next line -AB editing. The drawback is it is set into the 3d file and in order to change it, you might have to render after the change. You will also have to know exactly what you want to do for the effect to work.
