if you mean the opening recent projects list, just select the unwanted one and hit the delete key on the keyboard.

That does not work, because they are greyed out

That worked...Thanks, but I was looking at after a project is opened, and I click on the folder to open another project, I see the offline and other projects are greyed out, and was hoping that I could delete them from there ....that means I have to close and reopen to clear the history...I remember there was a way in earlier versions of edius to clear that history......

I open a project, and just above the timeline, I click on the icon to open another project or new one, and there is a dropdown window, showing all saved projects....It is there I want to be able to clear offline or greyed out projects as most times, I have deleted the files from the HD, and dont want to see the still showing up....is there a way to delete them after a project is opened other than having to close and delete before a project is opened in Edius 8.

                  you lost me

can you provide a screenshot of where you want to clear offline files

EDIUS9 only has one way to do it, the same as EDIUS7

The delete button worked for me in Edius 8 when I was running it.

The recent list in the file menu is controlled by the user settings in the attached screen shot. You can't clear the list directly but it will only track a set number of projects, and it does not list projects that have been cleared from the main open projects screen.

If you don't want to see the entire list in the menu, reduce the number shown in the user settings or disable it all together if you don't want to see any. Other than that, just set an appropriate number and allow it to work the way it is supposed to, by giving quick access to the last "X number" of recently used projects. There is nothing to worry about with it as projects cleared from the main list are also cleared from here, and it is only recent projects here, not your entire history.

After a project is open, and I want to change to another project from the dropdown menu that is on top the timeline, there is where I wanted to remove greyed out projects.

All you have to do is clear the offline files in the EDIUS startup screen and they won't appear any more when switching an open project to another
