  • Highlighting text on an image of a document

I'm trying to create a reusable effect that would highlight and slowly zoom in on a piece of text from an image.

I've made it work with Transform by laying down two copies of the image, cropping the top one down to the text I want, and using keyframes to have the "highlighter" expand from the beginning of the sentence to the end and slowly zoom in.

The problem is if I save this effect and drag it to a different image, I have to fully recrop the image to where i want it to start. I would prefer having something like a mask shape that I can just move to where I want it to start without having to mess with too many other parameters. I work on tight deadlines and any way to shave off time is helpful.

Any ideas? I've attached an image of what I want it to look like, just imagine the yellow rolling from the first letter to the end as the sentence gets slightly bigger.

    Thanks for any help.
