I'm curious, compared to the 3-A's (Apple, Adobe, & Avid) how well are Canopus/GV products accepted by producers in your area? I know here interest is growing rapidly. I'd like to hear from other countries as well.

As i said earlier my firm is working as Canopus dealer in my area (Maharashtra State : the most developed state in India) our main customer base is Wedding / event videographers and local video editors, we r selling Canopus since 2005 before that we were Pinnacle dealer and doing pretty well business with Pro One (Pro One + Adobe Premiere 6.5+Hollywood FX) that time Pinnacle was very strong and hardly had any competition from Matrox and Canopus but it all changed when Pinnacle introduced Liquid Edition 5 in the market, it’s glitchy performance and very critical user interface turn off many users including us and we decided to change the products.

Luckily we met with the MD of CDG Multimedia (Canopus Distributor for India) in an exhibition and he introduced us with Canopus and after very brief demo we decided to work with Canopus, at beginning it was tough job because for Indian videographers Canopus was unknown name compare to Pinnacle and Matrox but soon they realised the power, speed and quality of Edius and since then Canopus is rocking in the industry , “Canopus Quality” is now industry standard here and i proudly say we having 0 competition from Apple, Adobe & Avid at least in the Wedding/Event videography industry.
