  • Timecode overlay different when changing res

I've noticed that the onscreen display of timecode isn't consistent when viewing the timeline at different resolutions in Workgroup. For instance if you like having small timecode on the screen it only stays small at full res. If you go half or 1/4 size it doubles in size when you start playing, and 1/8 or 1/16 then it looses it completely.
Would it be possible to have the timecode overlayed after the video resolution change so that it's consistent as it is just data and it can be kept at the size the user wishes?
It would also be nice to see the timecode when in multicam mode on the master screen. It currently disappears when you enter multicam mode.

Yes, this is a bit old fashioned style!
It has always been that way.

My feature request that went down like a lead balloon, was to be able to export in multicam view with timecode.

Shame - it could be fixed though! I only realised it was an issue when some large files in a big project forced me to edit at 1/4 res and then I lost the ability to read timecode which is rather important!!! Had to keep changing the res just to see what the source timecode was!
In terms of multicam export I’ve thought the same thing! I had a project where the client wanted to view all angles so it would have been easy to just export my multicam quad. Instead I had to use the layout tool and arrange it!

The overlay from the resolution dropdown matches the individual project setting overlay.

          1080 at half res.jpg
This is 1920x1080 at half res

          480 full res.png
This is a stand alone 720x480 project at full res.

The two match. Like or dislike, this is how it currently works.
