  • Date Time Stamp Video file

    Hi,

How to add/change Date Time Stamp Video file?

    Thanks

  • #2
If you want to export timecode then go to user settings - preview -on screen display. Choose the date and date from the "select source information" drop down and tick "source information" on show export.

When you export tick "display timecode" and the date and time will be burnt into every clip. It is all or nothing - so on even clip or no clips, and if there is not date and time in the file then you get dashes.

Why would you want to, other than to commit some kind of fraud? Anyway it's not possible in Edius and would need some kind of metadata editor.

There is a tool called DVMP pro: https://www.dvmp.co.uk/help/v7/tools..._metadata.html, which permits changing meta data on DV files. I do not know it that works on AVC. Perhaps you could drop them a question. They have been helpfull to me in the past.
In the old DV days, I so happened to fix the hiour difference when traveling and forgot to adjust the camera's timezone on the first day (yeah, I know ...).

            1. In the main window, select the videos or photos you want to change.
            2. Select [Batch Date Change] in the [Edit] menu. The [Batch Date Change] window is displayed.
            3. Change the date and time stamp.

This thread is more than 3 years old. I think this question has already been answered. Do not forget the main thing to make sure about the time zone in which you are. I haven't been able to understand the difference between pst and pdt for a long time, but this article https://askanydifference.com/difference-between-pst-and-pdt/ helped me finally figure it out. Since it was all written easily and briefly, I understood the whole difference. Therefore, I advise you to read this article for those who still didn't know all the subtleties between these two time zones.
