Can you do a screen recording and show us what you are seeing?

Also try to make a new user profile in EDIUS select save restart and try the drag and drop again.

That does not work either......are there any software that would cause Edius to behave like this....any codecs , anything, as this is really driving me up a wall....I use this method a lot especially when I have to do commercials with plenty stills...keep me from filling up the bin with too many clips.....And I never use 'Run as Administrator' to start Edius...and was using Edius from ver. 1....used Canopus 'Let's Edit' until Edius came out, and never used Administrator ....there has to be some hidden something that is preventing Drag and Drop from working, and it seems that others have the same issue as well

Just for the fun of it, try reinstalling Edius over the current install and see if that fixes it.

Did that as well....did not work, and now I realize that Mync does not stay open either....works ok on another PC....but the drag and drop not working on any of the 2 pcs

Have you tried using system restore to roll back the computer to a much earlier time when it was working? Hopefully you have some early restore points.

Did that as well, did not work....got to do with something that I missed....and now I miss my quick flow of just dragging from any folder to Edius....

Well, as nothing that should have worked didn't, have you tried plugging the mouse into a different USB port? Also, can you drag and drop stuff in Windows itself? Also, just for the fun of it try this: left click on a file you want to drag and while still left clicking hit the escape key. Then try drag and drop. Does that make any difference?

yes, this works....or if I double click the file, it imports as well.....
