How I can to replace a clip?

When select a clip in timeline contextual option 'replace>part>clip' is off. How to activate this option? Also with Link option.

Another question is when I sttart edius, load a project and a link footage is broken, then show dialog box for management links. Where I can open this dialog box manually?

You must copy a clip first.

Then I think is not the option I was looking.

I need change the source of a clip.
Example, in timeline I have a clip from "stage_01.avi" source added in the bin, and load a new file called "stage_02.avi", then I want replace the source of this clip with "stage_02.avi" for to keep properties like duration, speed, layout,... of this clip.

      Is this possible?

Copy the new source clip, then Replace Parts|Clip on the clip you want to replace.

          Another trick.....

first move or rename u r clip ie stage_01.avi and open project relink box will apear and will ask for location of stage_01.avi just select relink stage_02.avi and ur stage_01.avi will get replace with stage_02.avi with all u r filter intact.

The problem with this is that the clip has to be exactly the same, as in the length as well as the size, or Edius will not replace it. Hopefully offlining clips will be much improved in upcoming versions.

The feature Brandon mentioned seems to be the best one available.

Yeah! you r right the clip length has to be = or > original clip but as per my knoweledge u don't need exactly same size clip, i even relinked HQ AVI with same length .MP2 file

Shakeel's correct, the clip can not be shorter.

If you suspect you're going to replace a clip or section of clips a lot, I highly recommend you put them in a separate sequence. It's much easier to modify that way, as sequences nested in other sequences won't change length (if the sequence content becomes shorter, the nested clip will have black at the end).
