Multi-CAM Audio Switching question

I have a two camera shoot (one tripod shot and one hand held). I would like to keep the audio of the tripod shot all the way through the edit.

Is there a way to prevent the audio track from switching when the Video track changes?

any advice would be appreciated, thanks

I unlinked the tripod clip and moved the audio to a separate audio track...

That is what I do on almost all of my projects. Or you can just copy the clip and then paste it on an audio track and then Alt+A to delete the original audio
