Is there any way to embed a marker into the actual clip like Avid MC?

In Edius, the marker is at the top of the timeline. I really like how Avid Media Composer puts markers in the actual spot that you need it within the clip itself, and it actually then follows the clip if you make changes to clips previously in the timeline.

If not, is it possible to link a marker to a clip so that it follows it if you make changes to the timeline?

    Thank you.

    which version EDIUS?

btw, timeline markers now ripple, so if you delete a clip and close the gap, the markers will follow if you have ripple markers enabled
Using the new EDIUS 7 or EDIUS 8 Sequence Marker Ripple Function to allow Markers to ripple with the edits

        1. That works well with video- or still-clips (because one can see the content of the clip in the PLR).

        2. The problem arises with e.g. wav-clips because one can't see the waveform in the PLR.
Most NLEs (Premiere Pro, Resolve, Magix ...) have the option to set a Clip-Mark (= inside the clip) directly in the timeline (where one can see the waveform of audio-clips).

        3. // There is no need to place a Feature Request (because we did that since years)!

        4. Workaround: Use the "Gang"-Mode to sync TL+PLR.

The actual way of creating clip markers is uncomfortable.
I'm quite sure that many editors are not aware of the
presence of that feature or they don't know how it works
because it's not intuitive and too complicated. Doing
clip markers directly in timeline was requested since
years. Waveforms in player window too.
Many requested workflow improvements have been
          ignored since years.

            Markers

I used antonsvideo's suggestion and that works.

            Thank you.

            I'm using Edius 8.5.

It still would be nice if the actual marker icon appear IN the clip on the timeline.

Once the clip marker is placed on the clip in the Player monitor, those markers do stay sith the clip if you drop it to the timeline.
