  • Multicam issue: one of the two clips is playing the audio track at a slower speed

I'm using Edius 4.24 with REX-RT but the issue is still there when I switch to OHCI mode so I doubt it's a REX specific issue.

the clips play fine by themselves but when I try to sync the two clips in Multi-cam mode it plays one of the clips audio track slower then normal so I am unable to line the clips up properly.

has anyone experienced this before? solution?

    please advise, thanks

do both tracks consist of clips with 16bit 48k audio?

if one has 32, then you will get this problem

btw, you can line up clips by looking at the audio waveform, zoom right in to 1 frame level

thanks for the tip... I'll check that out

I have 2 TRV900's and they should both be set to 48KHz, but I will check the properties of the file. thanks

Both clips have 48KHz audio... any other ideas?

hopefully it's not a version issue as I don't want to update from 4.24 as this will disable my REXRT.

when you enable the audio waveforms, find a lineup point and line them up, do they line up for the entire length of the clip or do they drift from one to another? are both clips PAL or NTSC?

I started a new project and audio is playing back fine now in Multi-CAM mode. Not sure what was causing the slow down of audio on one of the tracks... but all is well now and the sync is working all the way through the clips (NTSC).

if one of the tracks was set to monaural instead of stereo, could that cause it? That's the only thing I can think of that was set differently when I compared the settings.

anyway, thanks for your help Anton
