When editing a FHD or 4K shots the edius gets slower ???why

When I want to edit a 4K shots , I edius timeline gets slow or it is not smooth ?
help could we change settings to make editing 4K smooth and fast ?

My PC :
Intel core intel core 5930k
RAM= 16GB
VGA= Gigabyte980 6G Ti
MB= MSI Gaming 9
SSD 25GB
WD 4Tb

you really need EDIUS8 Workgroup for 4k editing

As you have WG, to improve playback, try dropping the resolution. This feature is only in WG.
When you export, it will ALWAYS be at Full resolution.

If you are running the 5930k at stock speeds, you need to take it to at least 4.2GHz. Then if the speed slows, use the WG resolution drop down.
