  • New sequence - default stereo on a single track?

Is there any way to start a new sequence with the stereo sound on a single track by default?

For a new project or an exiting one? You need to change this in the project settings.

1 New Project will follow your set project settings
2 An existing project will follow your project settings so If you change your project settings before creating a new sequence it will pickup the adjusted settings.

each sequence can have a individual "channel mapping" (other settings, as the project "channel mapping")

each new sequence start with the "channel mapping" from the project,
but right-click on the sequence-tab open a windows with the entry "sequence properties"
open this "sequence properties" ... and you can adjust a different "channel mapping" for only this sequence

If you want all projects to start with it go in your project setting and change it.

Oh wait I see that you removed the VA track.
If that is the case you it is best to use the button on the mode bar which you already use I guess.

save a template with that setting and when you start a new project, select that template

Thanks Anton, this is one solution. But how to set "Channel map" in the Project to make one stereo channel? I'm trying different solutions and it's still the same.

If you add a VA track in your project setting it will work as you want.
If you remove the VA track (as you have) you need to use the switch on the mode bar.

Its a very poor situation, I'm constantly irritated by it - VA tracks are useless for me - not being able to set Stereo only is really dull.

More hoop jumping - like I can't copy nodes - or slo- mo settings... why are these things restricted - it makes zero sense to be able to adjust one parameter but not some others, it's really random too.

Premiere Pro is getting way more interesting by the day!

                      Paul :-)

                          Yes that is correct.
You can create a template which will work. :)
