  • Batch Export & Procoder

Using Edius 4.54, I've found one of the best new features is the ability to do a batch export eg: render mp2's for any and each sequence in a project.

However, I usually use the Canopus Procoder plug-in for edius that appears in the list of choices when one chooses render to file. But for some reason, Procoder is not in the list when doing a batch export?

    Why?

Any ideas how to add it?

Currently the Batch Exporter module cannot invoke external .EXE exporters (such as those that feature ProCoder technology).

It's my understanding that this limitation won't be revisited any time in the visible future.

That's a shame, especially since I thought ProCoder was a canopus product that one would think could be easily incorporated into Edius ie: no third party co-operation or development would really be needed.

Your best bet is to batch-output Canopus HQ or Canopus Lossless files, and use those as the input for Procoder.

Too much trouble. That means I need to render everything twice.

I think they need to rebuild the way it exports for it to export via ProCoder and batch capturing? Because the only available output options are for built in plugins and not external ones...maybe one day ProCoder Express will be built in and not be an external application.
