I just got my Sony PMW-EX1. I shot some clips and transferred them to a map on my EDIUS-PC. Can anybody tell me how to import these clips into EDIUS (4.54).
I found a solution, if I film in SP 1080i (HDV) than I can capture it as OHCI-HDV. This isn't the best possible quality but it works and gives a good quality.

I was surprised to see that they did not include an HDMI output on the camera. HDMI is becoming standard on a lot of professional equipment these days. I do know that if you had a decklink HDSDI card you could capture in the MJPEG 10bit (or 8bit) codec and use it within Edius.
Hi,Jerry! I noticed that you have same motherboard as me, and 4gb ram. How did you "forced" your 32bit OS to "see" more than 2GB ram? I tried everything, but didn't work. Only under 64bit OS I can see all 4GB ram in my PC.

It depends on the several things. Speed of the ram, chipset, and I find luck of the draw to be a big one.
Even though it does not show the 4gigs, believe me, Windows is using it.
I just can't prove it. My other mobo registers 3.5 gigs and automatically initiates the PAE switch upon install.
You can reduce the speed of the ram in the bios and it will more than likely see more ram. But this is only on clean install. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
You could try to use the PAE switch, but if you do not know how to do this....you could be asking for major trouble.
I say, if the system is running stable and fast....leave it alone.
I did some actions:
1. switched on PAE in bios,2. reduced the speed of ram, 3. typed in boot.ini "/3GB" switch.
But, ram still was 2GB and on NX driver had "!".

The speed of the ram has to be adjusted prior to installing windows.
I did this test. I took 2 gigs out and ran 3 heavy programs at one time.
I put all 4gigs in and ran the same programs and it performed better.
So, I really could care less if it reads 2gb or 4gb just as long as it keeps purring along.
