I recently bought the EDIUS 4.5 application software (Only) and I'm looking to get a capture card that is compatible with this software. Please advise.
You can use DVStorm2, but you will have issues because you need to find a compatible motherboard. NX Express is PCIExpress, so it's easier for it to work with newer computers...plus the Storm2 is discontinued (you can grab a used one), and it might not work in v5 of Edius and it's DV only, no HD support.
I don't think that requestor is asking for Canopus h/w :-). He just brought the EDIUS application only - so, my guess will be just any OHIC compatible card (Firewire host) will be good enough for him.
NX has two flavors - one is the Express bus version, the other is PCI-X (64 bits slot). Both works - I am using the PCI-X version ... ZERO problems.

ADVC110 is an external analog to digital converter. It's inexpensive and allows playback preview on an external video monitor when playing the timeline of a DV project.
If you need realtime HD output, take a look at the products Dave mentioned.
