  • Track Patch / mapping question

I am a bit confused re: channel mapping. I have three VA tracks, but only one track is included in the track patch. Why can't my other two VA tracks be included in the track patch so I can choose which of the three VA tracks to send a clip to from the Bin or Player? Thanks!

Move the Track patch with your mouse or Arrow up and down arrow.

You cannot target all track at once. If that would be the case you would end up with the same clip on every track in your project. :)

Let me add one other thing that I am often asked. You can never create or delete the audio track patches. Merely turn them on or off. What dictates how many channels you see is simply the properties of the clip itself.

Yes, thanks, by choosing different types of clips in the Bin I was able to notice the behavior of the track patches. Also noticed some peculiar behavior of the track arrows as the height of the tracks are changed; sometimes the "MIX" arrow on a VA track disappears, and there's no scroll bar on the right to reveal it, you can only see it again by reducing the track height. A small anomaly in an otherwise great piece of software.
