  • Exporting 9:16 project

    Hello,

Exporting a project to upload to Snapchat as 9:16. Project Settings are good, but when exporting as .mov file with h.264 wrapper. Video has slanted look. See attached photos. I attached before and after photo of the same picture.

    Export as Quicktime File
Settings: Compression Ty;e H.264, 29.97 frame rate, quality best, key frame: automatic, data rate none

    Size: current 9:16

I tried two different bit rates: 4300 and 4500. Still getting the same results.

Snapchat Specs required h.264 encoded with .mov or .mp4

    Thank you in advance.

      Hi Ann,
Without getting into quality issues or third party options, have you tried the H.264/AVC > H.264/AVC option?

Thank you. I was afraid I would have to use Handbrake. I was trying to avoid the extra step. Thank you again. :)

Hi, yes I tried EDIUS h.264 which works great, but the Streamtype is AVC coding. According to Snapchat specs, it should be h.264 encoded. Maybe that doesn't matter I'm not sure. I am not an expert on the stream type, do you know if that matters?

Okay, I wasn't sure then the h.264/avc exporter will work.

            Thank you everyone!
