  • Viewing you're finisht film

Maybe the wrong column, but i didn't found another where this would better fit.
A finished film in whatever codec, what is the best way to view it ?
My media player supports a few codecs but certainly not all !
I'm making my own holiday films and I always used AVCHD Canon MXP to get an *.mt2s file witch my TV and projector could easily show, another codec like GV HQ or something like it isn't supported.
Now i'm switched to 4K and my mediaplayer can't deal with it,so I'm looking for another way to play my films.
What is used and with support off the best codecs in Edius 8.3 ?
    Thx.

My 4K tv play H.265, you can edit in Edius and output a uncompressed or HQ AVI to HandBrake (free) and use it to make an h.265, I think that is what most 4K TV wants but you might want to check with your TV and see what it likes.

      Thanks for You're reaction.
So You finished it and then You put it on a USB stick / HDD ?
I'm getting soon a new 4K UHD TV and I'm "scouting" now to find out the do's and don't's before I buy it.
My setup is with a media player a TV and a projector over a switch so no hassle with kabels or other stuff (witch is very comfy ! ).
In the future my switch and projector also has to be renewed, but we starting with the TV., my exploring continues for those also.
      Thanks again for the respons.
