  • How to check QuickSync is working?

    I am using a i7-7700K with onboard HD630 graphics and a single monitor 1920x1200.
My timeline to edit is most times mp4, 1920x1080 50p footage.

How can I check whether QuickSync is ON and actually working?

    The i7 7700K has Quicksync.

Make sure you have "use hardware encoder" ticked in the export window.

Check also that you have the latest GPU driver from Intel

So the difference in processing time between ticking or unticking the HW encoder is the QuickSync contribution? Will try that out. What percentage of reduction can I expect?

It can vary according to the processor, but I would say about twice as fast.

You may also want to test the quality difference.
