Is it possible to create a 2.5 k project whit a 29.97 frame rate?
I have a preset whit 23 fps I tried to change but it is ghosted out.

Exactly what I mean.The frame rate and field order are ghosted, and I am stuck at 23.98 fps.

You need to create a new project preset.
You can do this on startup or when EDIUS is started system settings->application-> project preset

When it is greyed out it means that you are trying to modify the frame rate of the project you have open.

Framerate has to be set when creating a new preset or project and can't be changed after.

The screen grab I put up was made by selecting a 59.94i preset and modifying the field order and frames size. (i didn't put a 59.94p preset in my normal preset list)

Thank you for your help. Unfortunately things have gone from bad to worse.
Now my pc will not log on, it keeps rebutting before the log on page.
I will try again after Steve (computer tec) has been here.
