  • Edius Pro 8 - The serial number is not valid

    Hi,

I installed Edius Pro 8 trial to try out on a Windows 10 notebook. I've downloaded the Edius 8.30_1233 trial version. After installation it requested to create an EdiusID. I did that and I requested a serial number. I start Edius 8 and a pop-up box asks for the serial number. I copy-paste it, a pop-up appears and says "The serial is registered". After that "Starting" shows up and a second pop-up appears: "The serial number is invalid".
The software doesn't start at all. GV License manager installed, I use ESET Smart security 10.0.369.1 as antivirus software. I even tried to switch on-off the antivirus but no luck.
I wanted to deactivate the serial number and request a new one, but as I can see it's not an option..

What are my options to run the software? How this could be solved?

    Configuration: Asus X540L (Intel i3-5005U, Nvidia 920m, 4GB DDR3 RAM, Windows 10)

Make sure you did not get and extra space at the end of the copied serial number. Also, have you had the trial on the machine before?

Make sure you did not a error by type the "mailadress" or "password"

Unfavorable and confusing... in this above cases ... it comes the same pop-up windows with the only "serial number" text

"Make sure you did not get and extra space at the end of the copied serial number."
I copy-pasted from the mail I got from GrassValley with the serial number. I can double check it later, but what if I entered it wrong? As I saw I'm not able to deactivate serial numbers in the GV License Manager.

"Also, have you had the trial on the machine before?"
        No, it's a fresh install.

          1. uninstall EDIUS
          2. uninstall GV License manager
          3. reboot
          4. empty hidden Temp in Appdata Local (very important)
          5. delete in Users/username/appdata/roaming the Grass Valley folder
          6. delete in ProgramData the Grass Valley folder
          7. reboot
          8. empty Temp
          9. deactivate any antivirus running, if AVG or Norton, uninstall it
          10. install EDIUS and enter your trial serial and EDIUS ID and it will work
