Just finished reading a great thread on converting 4:3 to 16:9. However, in the process detail is lost. I am wondering how to improve resolution of DV to Hi-Def. I am working on a doc that originally began as 4:3, mini dv, 24p but shot the last segments in 720p and 16:9.

    thanks

Your best bet in Edius is to use the Layout Tool

also, when loading SD file in HD project, apply a sharpen filter of 20%, that will make it look much better next to HD footage
