  • Very Small Interface

    Hi there

Just bought a new laptop (windows 10) with a 4K display and when using edius the icons within the interface are tiny, especially the timeline. Makes grabbing the playhead in the timeline very finicky.

I understand fixing this is probably user error, but I cannot find any settings to change within edius or windows. Anyone have any ideas?

    Cheers

Further - I have found this was also an issue with adobe programs when using a high res monitor. There was a fix by creating a manifest file in windows. Anyone know of this problem and a solution in Edius?

    Thanks

      Look for monitor scaling.
It may take some experimenting, but you'll find it.
Mine worked out of the box. (laptop #1)

Also make sure you upgrade to 8.3 as it has better scaling for 4K monitors. I'm using it on a UHD 17" screen and for the most part it looks fine as long as you have the scaling set to higher than 100% (I have mine set to 200% otherwise everything is too small)

It's not scaling, I have mine set to 350 percent

You screen shot looks like it is EDIUS 8.22 or earlier. On those versions menu items and other parts scaled ok but the timeline and the effects list did not. 8.3 changed that and now nearly everything scales properly, with a couple of exceptions.
