Tried applying the New Blue flash remover pro. Didn't help a bit.

Could you try again by exporting the clip with the newblue filter applied, then use optical flow again ....

If there is sudden light change optical flow can fail.
You can read up a bit if you like.

The assumption is constant aperture in the math. :)

what do you mean by "then use optical flow again?" I applied optical flow AND New blue AND slo-mo. What are you asking me to do now?

              He is asking you to:
1 "clean" the file first with the new blue filter.
2 export it to a new file
3 Use the newly created file for slow motion.

ahh, ok. I won't export it but render it with SHFT-Q and then do that.

Put clip speed to 100%. I tried every single preset in the "flash remover pro". Didn't remove a single flash.

Steve understood my suggestion correctly, but it might be hard to fix that footage.

I only have a dual core laptop from 2008 to my disposal now so I can't properly test.
I'm not sure yet how optical flow reacts to the difference between applying the newblue filter and use SHFT+Q and then apply optical flow OR export the repaired clip and then only apply optical flow.

That's why I suggested TRY the suggestion, if you know there is no difference then disregard......

Thanks but I didn't get to the export part because the new blue filter didn't remove the flash anyway.

That happens with AE too so I'm use to it, the easier fix is make a cut before and after the flash and apply Frame Blend there instead of optical flow.
