  • Does anyone have any success with New Blue Titler 4

I cant believe how clunky it acts. I have a good video card and 32 gigs ram. I spend more time trying to get this program to work than I do actually editing the project. And yes, I have spoken to their tech support about this. Despite the changes Caleb suggested, is still crappy.

The all time biggest waist of money I have spent for my Edius platform...

What do you consider a 'good' video card and what is your CPU? It does take a lot of 'juice' to run it.
Make sure your preview quality is set to draft. That will reduce the strain on the system.

You will never get the same performance out of TP4, in Edius, that you can get with Vistitle.

The graphics card is a bit underpowered for TP4. It would be fine with Vistitle.
What did Caleb suggest that you do to help the performance.
I made a tutorial a while back for the proper set up.

My Windows 7 Score was 7.9 with my system. I use Windows 10 and the scoring is completely different.

In my case, Edius renders with higher quality than NB Titler. So I don't leave rendering in the NB hands.

Are you turning off all caching in TP4? If not, then it's not a pure Edius render. Also, turning off cache will take longer for Edius to render.

I'm still trying to figure out how the Edius render is of higher quality than the TP4 render. I've tested with best quality on a pure Edius render
and a TP4 render. Quality is the same. The only difference is the Shift+Q will be a permanent render vs the possibility of the TP4 render not retaining
the RT on first playback of the day. If you have to go back in and adjust the title, that previouis shift+Q render is worthless.

                  Celeb suggested the following:

                  Hi Dan,
Sorry for the delay getting this info to you. Please start by making sure you have the latest driver installed for your video card (if you're using Windows 10, this is the direct link): http://www.nvidia.com/download/drive...x/107564/en-us
Then you can make sure your GPU settings are optimized for Titler Pro and EDIUS:
                  a. Open Control Panel -> Nvidia control panel
                  b. 3D Settings -> Manage 3D Settings - >Program Settings.
                  c. Select the Titler Standalone EXE and the EDIUS EXE from the list or add the programs using the browser.
                  d. Choose option "High-performance NVIDIA processor"
Let me know if that makes a difference.

Yes I have disabled all caching in TP4. The difference is in the glare and blurred. I'm using Shift + Q render. I know ... It takes longer. But the effect is worth the time.
