  • Can I download the full version 7.5

I just bought a new PC but it has no DVD drive as I never need one now (except I forgot about installing Edius) Is there anywhere I can download the full version of Edius 7.5 Pro I tried the download section but it says I need to install from CD first.

On the downloads page there is a 7.53 full installer.
Actually if you look further down on the downloads page there are full installers for nearly every version of Edius 7

Yeah I see them all but when you click on it they say you need to have already installed Edius 7 on your PC, I don't as it's new. I tried running the full installer after download and got an error, a missing .dll file which I assume would have to be installed by my CD version.

What was the missing dll file? I've used those full installers on clean systems myself so they should work under Windows 7.

It only says the part about having Edius already installed as they just cut and paste the same page for updates and full installers

I don't remember but I downloaded the edius 8 trial instead as I was thinking that upgrading may be the best way forward. If I can't get the trial of 8 working the way I want I will try again on the download, thanks for the information.

Had a similar experience recently with a clean install of latest E8WG.
Solved by loading an early version of E8 (full) which went straight in. Rebooted and immediately applied E8 latest before opening & activating.
This time it went straight in. Noticed that the early version loaded directex 9

Might be worth trying. not sure if early versions of 7 needed QT to be preloaded.

you need the setup.exe and not the update.exe and you need to make sure hidden Temp is empty before you install
