It appears that "Import Sequence" fails since I updated to v8.22.623. Seems to import all of the media into the Project folder, but ends up with a "Failed to copy file." pop-up....so no sequence opens.

Thanks for the quick response.
That does work, however I have 2 problems:
1. This way does not transfer (copy) the media into my current Project folder.
We archive projects to a server drive and need our media transferred to
our local drive.
2. This way brings in all of the media from the archived project. The main
reason I use Import Sequence is to only bring in media and sequences that I
want. ie; A project has 12 sequences in it with 25GB of media and I only
want 2 of the sequences, I save the archived project with just the 2
sequences I need and start a new project and use Import Sequence to
import just the 2 sequences. That way I only get the sequences I want and
the 2 sequences may only have 4GB of media associated.
The Import Sequence function has worked great for the last 5 years. Wanted to check the forum before calling support.Comment

Well, apparently the "Fix-it" Fairy stopped by over the weekend. This morning I have successfully imported 5 sequences from previous projects. Can't explain why it's all of a sudden working. I had been having the error for 2 weeks.
Thanks for the responses....Comment

Have an old project with say 10 sequences and I need to import 2 sequences into a new project. 'new' project settings match the 'old' project.
From the 'new' project I go file->import sequence. There is no option to select the sequence. Seems I can only select the project containing the old sequences so go ahead.
All 10 sequences appear in the new project complete with thumbnails. The actual files are not transferred into the new project.
Is this correct?
How should I proceed to have just the required sequences and the matching media in the new project. Both projects on the D: drive. Thanks Anton,
Makes perfect sense to close unwanted sequences.
