  • Proxy Mode is not working with GoPro 2.7K

    Hello friends.
This is a video with my question.
    https://youtu.be/ec74iYQ3evg

I cannot use proxy mode with 2.7K (GoPro Hero 4 Black Edition)
But I can use it with 1080.
Give me please an advice how to start using proxy mode on 2.7K

    What are your project settings?

    I don't have 2.7k 48fps footage but I did use 2.7k 30p footage.
My project setting was 2704x1536 at 60p and proxy mode kicked in.
    This is using Edius 8.2.

The same problem appears at 1080 - 120 fps.

No, man. Edius can edit 48 or 120 fps, but cannot make proxy for them.

the best solution is to upgrade to EDIUS 8 Workgroup

it lets you change preview resolution to many levels until it plays in realtime

also, I am not too keen on AMD based computers

also your project settings are using 8 channel audio for 7.1 surround sound, can you confirm that this is what you need? I normally use 2 channel stereo

you can have as many audio tracks as you like with 2 channel stereo, people often misunderstand this setting

Thank you for your answer, buy when I try to install Edius higher than 6th, it appears error: SSE3 instrucrions. My processor is AMD A-6. It is not supported by 7th or 8th Edius.

yes, your AMD is too old to support SSE3, sorry

              ideally, use Intel based i7

what you could do is convert your GoPro file in the Bin with right click menu to HQ, then it will be easy to edit in realtime

Can you post a short sample of the footage. That way the 48fps footage can be tried in newer versions.
