I'm wondering how Edius deals with 720P HDV footage which is 1280 x 720 (converted to HQ BTW) on a 720P DVC PRO HD timeline which is 960 x 720.
Does it automatically crop the 1280 x 720 HDV HQ footage of just show the DVC PRO 960x720 footage as a different pixel aspect to get the true 1280 x 720 size? (square pixel modified to get the correct aspect ratiomaybe?)
In other words what am I seeing coming out of Edius through the NX card on a TV monitor, is the footage true 1280x720 or only the 960x720 that is shown in the properties tab of the DVC PRO 720P footage (shot with an HVX 202 BTW).
I am wanting to understand this because I will be editing my next project in DVC PRO HD 720P shot with an HVX 202 but will also be using a lot of footage shot with a JVC GY HD101 on the same timeline.
