  • .ezp file offline 8.2

Today when I opend Edius 8.2 one of my project is marked "Status offline". I used it yesterday and saved befor I closed and shot down my computer. The project file is on my computer and the other project (at same location/HDD) works fine.

what could have happed and what can I do?

When I turned the computer off yesterday it took extra long time to stop...

in the startup screen, look at the path to the file to see what drive it is on, maybe the drive is currently not connected or has died?

It is in the startup screen the file is listed offline, but all other files from same location/HDD works.

It's like that project mapp has been blocked, can't open "auto-save" or "back-ups"...

out of curiosity, which Windows are you using?

also, check in disk management to see if any drives are listed as at risk?

I'm running W7pro and all disk are listed fine.

edit: the new project file works fine today too, but the old one is still listed as "Offline".

I assume you see the project in question on your drive with Windows Explorer?

If yes, clear the offline entry from the startup screen (right click, clear history)

click the open project button (next to new project) and browse for the correct ezp

                done

that means the project file is corrupt and as such appears offline

so sort the AutoSave folder by date with Win Explorer and copy the most recent one to the root

then start EDIUS and browse for that file you just copied

then open and if ok, save as new name

if it fails to open, use the next oldest in line and do the same

and if all fail, start the same process with the Backup folder
