  • Osmo 50p on 50i timeline

    Hi
We're editing on our standard 1920x1080 50i timeline(EDIUS 6,5) a shoot which mixes 25p from a D5 and 50p from Osmo. The Osmo shots look awful, all horizontal detail is ghosting. We've tried all the obvious dodges but nothing makes it any better. Anyone have a workthrough for this?
    Thanks

this could mean that the clip is not 50p because 50p in 50i timeline produces 0.00% ghosting

check the 50p clip with mediainfo (free) to see its actual frame rate

        Thanks guys
I'm not sure that ghosting is actually what we're seeing, it's more like combing on fine horizontal lines. We've checked out all the field options, I think, but I'll try again.

I often place 50p footage in 50i timeline and there is no issue at all

make sure the project setting is 50i and make sure update frequency is on field
