  • Long render at work

    Hello,
You guys instructed me to disable my hperthreading for faster render for when I work on my computer at home which is 16 cores. Everything appears to be great, thank you agian.
I am using Edius 8.1 Pro at work on a laptop which has 8 cores. My renders to export to file are getting longer and longer. I am exporting a 2 1/2 video and it took close to 15 minutes. Here are some pics. I used to beable to export with quick times but lately they are really slow. I have not added any hardware and my drives are not even 50 percent full.

Are you exporting out as h264 files?
If so do you do you have the hardware exporter ticked so it's trying to use quicksync? If that is the case then you may have to update the Intel GPU driver, check which Intel driver it is using and what generation Intel GPU you have on there, then see if Intel have one ending with 4300 for that model and install that

My work computer has a Nvidia card Quadro K1100M. We also have a Antivirus protection program on all computers which we can not turn off called System Center End Point Protection.

What is the chip? Intel? AMD? I'm guessing Intel. If so, in the past did you check the hardware encode box to export to h.264?

Yes it is a Intel family. And I did tick the hardware encode box.

As I said earlier, you probably need to update the Intel GPU driver to get quicksync working again

You need to get the correct one, the latest one probably doesn't work with quicksync, that's why I suggested trying to find one ending '4300' for your Intel GPU

It installed this version 10.18.10.3412 for the Intel HD Graphics Family. I just saw if there was an update and it did the rest.

I think I spoke too soon. I am now exporting a 6 minute video with yuv curves and 3 way color corrector and it took 50 minutes to export h.264 video.

If you look in device manager in Windows what Intel graphics card do you have listed?

It shows that I have a NVIDIA Quadro K1100M Graphics card. Above that it shows a Intel HD Graphics Family
