I have used the Adobe Premiere XML option (I believe the second link) and it has worked countless times for me just fine. I start with Plural Eyes, sync everything up, then import the XML file into EDIUS. The only thing I wish EDIUS would do is maintain the audio tracks as stereo. It reads the audio of stereo files and duplicates them, with left and right.

    Which workaround did you use?

I contacted RED-GIANT for a plugin. Maybe if there would be enough demand, they'd make one. So go ahead and contact them and ask for a plugin.

What's frustrating is that when exporting to AAF from EDIUS 8.11 and syncing in PE 3.5, Pe syncs perfectly almost every time! But when you export from PE back to EDIUS 8.11, the sync is off... the clips still have the almost same "shape" as they should be but each clip is off by a few seconds.

If ALL the clips were shifted the same amount, you could just shift all together and done... problem is that first clip can be shifted 1:02 seconds... second clips 1:12 seconds... and so forth. So each clip has to be manually shifted back to place in EDIUS.

Not yet. What I'm doing now is in PE, I click SHFT-(DOWN-ARROW) to jump to next clip, and input the CTI time from PE to EDIUS and move the clip over to the correct place. Edius is smart enough so if you are on a 25fps timeline and try to jump to 2:30:26, it will jump to 2:31:00.

That's where I got my information on how to do this and has my problem.

I also read about exporting to PPRO or Media Composer and then from there to Edius but that's too tedious.

I thought maybe because I'm importing AAF with only sound, PE is not recognizing that my footage is from a 25fps project and is making an NTSC timeline - which may be the cause of sync problems.

started a topic EDIUS 8.11 AAF PE to EDIUS not synced

EDIUS 8.11 AAF PE to EDIUS not synced

I export AAF from EDIUS 8.11 and import it to PE 3.5 using "original clip" option in Edius. PE syncs great. I then export the synced AAF from PE and bring it into EDIUS... the new sequence is NOT synced like in PE. Everything goes off some frames all over the place. Any ideas why?
