  • EDIUS 8.2 offline footage

I'm thinking of purchasing (upgrading) from EDIUS 6.07 to EDIUS 8.11 (wrote 8.2 in title by mistake) and wanted to ask if some small personal issues I have now were addressed in 8.2

    1. In missing footage window, in "Timeline Reference Count" it tells you how many times an offline clip is on timelines but it doesn't tell you which timelines so if you have many timelines, it's a tedious task to find the missing footage.

    2. There is no UNDO for any action you do in the BIN like adding\deleting clips, adding\deleting folders, etc.

    3. "Close all other sequences" is JUST below "Close this sequence" and sometimes I accidentally click that one and I always wished that when clicking "Close all other sequences" you would get a warning popup asking "Are you sure you want to close all other SEQS" or at least be able to move this option farther away from the "Close this SEQ" one.

    That's about it. Thanks!

Maybe no one replied because 8.2 didn't come out yet... I didn't mean 8.2 but whatever the latest released version is - 8.0, 8.11 - whatever.

Do this issues still exist on the latest version of Edius?

        1 2 & 3 = no as far as my knowledge goes.

Number 1 could also be referenced to the 'problem' of dummy effects.
When you open an old project with acient effect who no longer work in the latest version the effect is being replaced with a dummy effect but not telling you where.
In my view also half baked.

Number 3, a closed sequence is opened again with a double click in the bin, this is pretty fast, not ?

My projects are usually 30-40 sequences and I close them as I finish editing each one. If I have only 6 left that are open and I close all but one... remembering which ones I didn't do yet is hard.

No 1. has been a request for some time. As for no 3 I would not want a confirmation dialogue. I use this feature a lot and would hate to have to do another click to get rid of a sequence EVERY time. If I do click the wrong thing I just open up the right sequence again.
