Hi! Problems with upgrade to Edius 7:51

    There will be a message.

"Updater can not be running in your system.
    This setup will not Proceed."

There have not been any problems in the past with Win. 8.1
I have Win.10, today, it can be the problem?

Edius 7.51 is not Win 10 certified. Only Edius 8.x is Win 10 compatible.

You need to close Edius before you can update it

I had a comparable problem with the updater. The updater would not run under win10. But the full installer did run under win10 (1511), so that was for me the solution. All my files and settings were kept, no problem. Until now I did not experience any problem with Edius 7.5 or 7.51 under win10, certified or not. (Most programs that run under win8.1 don't give problems under win10).

Yes, in some cases it will work. That said, I would make a clone of your system just to be safe.

Had a similar problem awhile back.

                  http://forum.grassvalley.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=37083

Can you extract the update file with say '7-Zip' and the use the setup.exe file found in the extraction folder to update E7.

Have now found this problem on two further W10 machine albeit without Edius being installed. Just testing the extraction provided by GV Seems W10 is too fussy.
