Convert Black and White B&W footage to color?

Hello, I'm on Edius 6.0x and wish to take B&W aka black and white footage, convert it to the normal color which it should be in, and then later add 'Looks' to it. I understand that I might have to buy a plugin for the Looks, but hope I can convert it from B&W without a plugin.

Point me to any youtube videos if one already exists, or give advice so that I may be able to do this. Thank you.

There are no plugins that do what you want to do, it isn't possible. Colorizing video requires specialized software, expertise, and a lot of manual work, assigning colors to regions of luminance.
