  • Different Color Fonts for Quick Titler

Is it possible to add additional colors to quick titler? I can't seem to create a specific gold color I would like to use for my wording. Just wondering if I can download other colors from an outside source and bring them into quick titler.

You can use textures for colors. Look in the manual for instructions on how to use them.

Jerry, the colors in the texture file are not anything I care for. Is there a way I can add colors to the texture file and if so how?

Do a Google search for texture colors and download the one you like. Import that into your title.

Can't find anything but let me run this by you because I'm going against the grain to get the font color I want.

            1. I open up quick titler and adjusted color of the font closest to what I want.
            2. I then drag it up to an extra video track.
            3. I then drop in the 3 way color corrector along with a YUV curve.
            4. Adjust the color of the font I like.

Upside. Renders fine, sent to final file and plays well. New font color intact.
Downside. If I drag the titler back to the titler track I lose the new color in the font. If I drag it back to the video track still lose font color along with color correction tools.

Don't mind leaving title on video track in order to keep new font color.
So my question is will this cause any complications me dragging the quick titler up to the video track and leaving it there?

I think the title track is obsolete in EDIUS. I use only the V tracks for Titles. BTW, you could save that color effect as a current user preset for future use.

I'm glad to hear I'm on the right track. No pun intended! Thanks for the preset tip. I really need to brush up on my root folders. Something I lack in and I guess because I spend so much time working the real meat and potatoes of the program.

Thanks for checking in with me!!

Two questions here concerning the quick titler.

Okay, as talked about I was able to achieve different color content for my titles by moving the quick titler up to a video track and adding color correction filters. When I save them in my bin and move them back down to a video track the color correction filters aren't there anymore. Is this something I should expect?

Is there a way for me to save my favorite titles in Edius or must I save them outside of Edius?

                  Thank you

                    1) Yes.
                    2) In QuickTitler you have the options Save and Save As (See left top).
If you select Save As you can enter/select a file-name and folder.
// If you choose Save Edius will use a default name etc. ===> so I recommend to use the Save As Option !!!

I'm thinking your answer to me is that I can save titles but only for the present file I'm working on. I would like to save a favorite title for any new file I would be working on. I guess the only way of doing it is to save it outside of Edius like in my saved video hard drive.

Simply do the Save As and save it to a location on your drive. You can then import that title into any future project. You can also save the Style (color, font and texture of the title along with any customizations) of the title within Quicktitler itself which may be more of what you are looking for. To do that, within Quicktitler, go to Styles>Save as a New Style.

Thanks for confirming that I need to save it to my drive and there's no way to save it within Edius. It's kind of what I been figuring since I've been playing around with the titler. Not a problem as long as I know the right way.
Thanks for the style button. Funny it was in front of my face all the time.

QuickTitler also has "auto save as"

by using this option, you don't need to type a name and it is saved inside your current project folder/title

I just opened the quick titler and click the auto save as. It instantly shot my saved titler into the bin. Pretty cool!!

The past couple days I've been studying the quick titler along with learning the ins and outs of the root folder. I've been so involved in editing I skipped over some of the important points within the titler and root. Thank you Anton, for checking on me.
