Exporting to Mac from 6.5

Hi all,

I read some old thread but I'm not sure I got it right.

i need to export some of my videos at the best quality because they have to be edited again on Mac.
Mac guys asked me a prores files but I remember there is a Canopus codec which should work on a mac. What's the best option?

I tried using:

Print to file > QuickTime > Grass Valley HQX

Is it normal that the file is not supported on my own pc with WMP and VLC (vlc uses its own codecs)?

Should I give to these mac guys the:

Grass Valley HQX/HQ Codecs Pack for Mac OS X 10.7 (v1.05)

Hi Mate!

That's normal for windows media and vlc not to play the files, QuickTime player will play them on your system.

Send the mac guys HQX with a quality not less than superfine for HD you also need to send them the codec pack which you can dowliad from your GV account, the have a .dmg for mac.

Tell the the mac guys they need to install the GV codec which is a high quality 10bit 422 post production codec. They should be happy.
