this seems to be a common issue that was solved in the next version 236

      Thanks

As i can see now the problem is that edius suggest you to update to the wrong version.

Per Edius support on last Friday: "If you do not have Edius Hardware (installation disk), then it doesn't matter if the KB's are installed. If there is Edius hardware, then you must have them installed."

Now the question is: Does "Edius hardware" mean the media (the disc) as the note might imply, or do they mean actual computer hardware such as a HD Spark?

Using the /CHECKIGNORE switch on the command line to RUN the update worked for me, and the HDSPark still works.

I think it may refer to GV Hardware like Storm etc In Edius 8 If you do have GV hardware after installing additional install will be required to finish install (you need to do no more than accept) maybe that`s when it wants the KB updates

The required KBs deal with SHA-2 signing and verification functionality.
